The South African Rand (ZAR) is the currency of South Africa, and is issued by the South African Reserve Bank. The South African rand has the symbol R.
The Rand can be divided into 100 cents. The Rand comes in seven coins: 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, R1, R2 and R5, and five banknotes: R10, R20, R50, R100, R200.
Acceptable methods of payments include:
